You can learn with me July 17th
Before and during the pandemic, I spent more than a year working to become an authorized Jin Shin Jyutsu for Your Animal Companions instructor. This was no easy task. Those of us moving towards this goal studied, taught (mostly online because of previously mentioned pandemic), were graded, and taught again and again, honing our skills to be able to share this information clearly with the world the way our beloved mentor and original translator of this work for animals, Adele Leas would be proud of.
Being a practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu for the past 14+ years certainly guides my teaching. The more people and animals you have the opportunity to place your hands on the more you learn and grow. I can say that I’m a completely different practitioner than I was when I first began in 2008. All the years working with people have helped me grow working with animals and vice versa. We’re all made of the same energy and born from the same universal consciousness, so this makes complete sense to me.
The preparation for actually teaching this art for animals opened me up further. It’s been important for me to remember the first Jin Shin Jyutsu class I ever took. It was a different way of looking at life and my mind was spinning. The concepts were new to me. I was confused but excited. For some that will come to my classes, this feeling will also be the same. Others will have background in energy or have taken past classes. My goal will be to bring Jin Shin Jyutsu into clear focus for both groups, the new student and those wanting to go deeper.
My first in person clinic will be July 17th at the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center in Nicholasville, KY. Jin Shin Jyutsu animal classes are often large - up to 30 or more people. I’ve planned a small class of 8 people for my initial step into teaching in person to make certain that the logistics don’t take over the class, and more importantly so my students really get what they came for. I’ll be sharing the basic energy concepts of Jin Shin Jyutsu to begin. Then we’ll learn how to work with our own energy to find a place of calm and balance to connect with the animals. We’ll learn a number of simple Jin Shin Jyutsu light touch holds that can create powerful change within a being. I’ll demonstrate our learning and then we’ll practice with the horses and dogs together as a group. There will be time to review what we’ve learned, answer questions and hopefully end the day with confidence to go out into the world and start putting hands on more animals.
Who can benefit from this clinic? Anyone who enjoys connecting with the animal world. You can be a pet owner, equestrian, maybe a veterinarian, dog groomer, animal rescue or shelter volunteer, or simply someone who wants to find a deeper way to connect to the natural world. Jin Shin Jyutsu changed my life. Not only do I have a deeper understanding of myself and my physical body, I have a powerful loving way to look at and be in touch with all the other beings who reside on this planet with me. I feel more a part of Everthing and less a separate species. I trust that I have an inner knowing and a way to reach out and serve my animal friends during all stages of their lives. All I have to do is reach out with my hands and heart.
